Harlem is known for its African-American soul. You'll experience it for yourself at gospel performances in one of Harlem's hundreds of churches. Thanks to your local guide, you'll always be taken to the best church of the moment. Think Harlem's too far or don't want to go it alone? Good news, we'll gather in Times Square and take the subway together. That way, you'll immediately learn all the tricks of the New York subway trade.
This will take us to 125th Street, in the heart of what was once one of the city's most dangerous neighborhoods, but where today you'll discover just the opposite. Along the way, you'll find soul food and jazz, a wealth of culture and architecture that will leave you speechless. Whether it's music, human rights, religion or gastronomy, Harlem has left its mark on every aspect of society. Not just in New York, but all over the world. It is rightly sacred ground for the black community and a priceless cultural heritage. The tour ends in a fantastic gospel church. Feel free to dance, jump and sing to the rhythm of the gospel.
