This excursion is all about culture. You visit 2 of the country's most important temples. At Wat Po, you see the 15m-high and 45m-long fully gilded reclining Buddha. Next comes the Royal Palace, a vast temple complex that exudes the opulence of the Siamese kingdom. Here you can see the emerald Buddha, Thailand's most revered statue.
Cycling through Bangkok - Half day from € 68
Your bike tour starts early in the morning, when the city awakens and all the merchants lug their wares to the market. Cycling along small alleys through Chinatown, you'll come across colourful temples and into neighbourhoods away from the tourist trails. You cross the Chao Praya River and continue your tour in the Thonburi district. This 15km ride is for everyone - including children - and will be a highlight of your stay in the city. You can also do this tour in the evening. Bangkok's skyline by night is one of the highlights during this 3-hour bike tour.
Deluxe street food tour - Full day from € 63
Together with your guide, you will take a culinary walk through the old town and Chinatown today. Throughout the day, you will stop at numerous foodstalls and typical restaurants. You will taste numerous typical Thai dishes and discover that there is more to Thai food than red curry and Pad Thai. In between all these delicacies, you will also visit Chinatown, the foodie district par excellence. In the afternoon you also visit 2 lesser-known, very beautiful temples. You'll discover the royal temple Wat Suthat and climb to the top of Wat Saket, the Golden Mountain, for stunning views of Bangkok.
Ayutthaya & Bang Pa In - Full day from € 94
Today you will travel among the locals. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you by skytrain, taxi or metro to the train station. Here you'll board a local train heading north. After just under an hour, you'll arrive in Ayutthaya, the capital city for 400 years. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this city includes numerous palaces and temples. By bike, you'll go from highlight to highlight. After this invigorating bike ride, continue by tuk tuk towards the summer residence of the Chakrik Kings. Excursions Bangkok The magnificent palace is an oasis of tranquillity. After lunch, transfer to a longtail boat and take a unique trip on the canals of Ayutthaya.
The train and floating market - Full day from € 113
Departing Bangkok, you head towards Samut Songkran province. Your first stop is scheduled at a coconut farm where you will learn more about its production. Then you will move on towards a unique and unmissable spectacle, the closing umbrella market or train market. The market's name comes from its unique location, namely on the train tracks! Arriving at the station, you will see the unique spectacle of vendors hawking their goods in a hurry. After this, you'll visit the temple Wat Bang Kung which is partly overgrown by nature. After lunch, it's off by longtailboat to Damnoen Saduak's floating market. A colourful spectacle takes place here every morning. Although very touristy, this excursion remains a must for any visitor.
