Saguenay Fjord, in the heart of winter.
The majestic Saguenay Fjord stretches all the way to the St. Lawrence River, flanked by towering cliffs draped in dense boreal forest. Only a few hours from Quebec City, this region seems a world away from civilization once winter sets in. As soon as the first snow falls, roads, trails and valleys disappear beneath a thick blanket of white, while ice traps the dark waters of the fjord, isolating the villages nestling on its shores.
